Prayers for Pope John Paul II

As many know by now, Pope John Paul II's health has steadily declined and is now "on the verge of death". I cannot believe that his 26-year reign as head of the Roman Catholic Church is possibly coming to an end. In fact, I just cannot believe that the only Pope I have ever known is dying. It just hasn't sunk in yet. His papacy has witnessed a lot of the world's most significant events and more often than not, he's had a hand in them. I understand that no one lives forever but when I think about this, I just cannot believe it nor can I accept it. Let's just hope he's in peace now...
