The daily grind

This is what I hate about Januaries. After a long and festive holiday, you're back to the reality of life: WORK. Back to the daily grind.

Today was no different. Back to work. It was so busy, I couldn't believe it! I hardly had a break at all and my regular 8 hours weren't enough. I even had to take almost 2 hours of overtime (which is good because I get paid 1.5 times higher my regular salary per hour). I had a hard time filling in the position my immediate boss left when he took a vacation to Italy. But nevertheless, there I was, chugging away like I always do. Thankfully, my other boss, Cristina, was there to help me out and stuff.

I'm slowly getting used to my job and after this week, I have a feeling I would have quite mastered the intricacies of this job. In 6 months, I'll probably be of the same level as my boss (although still not the same position). I'm really learning at a good pace and so far, I think both my bosses are happy with my progress. The only thing I have to get used to is taking phone calls, especially from annoying clients like the one I had just before 5 PM. This dude was just a pain in the ass; he kept bugging me about his other orders that are still on the ship from Italy. Geez. Can't you wait?!

Anyway, all's fine. Tomorrow is another day. Oh, well...
