The George W. Bush inauguration special
As the rest of the world knows, George W. Bush was inaugurated today for the second time as the 43rd president of the United States. He is the 16th president to be re-elected into office, after defeating Sen. John Kerry in the recently historic 2004 US elections.
He sends out this message:
"My most solemn duty is to protect this nation and its people from further attacks and emerging threats. Some have unwisely chosen to test America's resolve and have found it firm... All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: The United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors."
That picture really speaks a thousand words, not only for America, not only for George W. Bush, but for myself, too.
